How to ask for your data to be deleted

If you use SalesBuddy for your business
Sign in, open Business, and choose Delete this business. We email you a link to confirm. After you confirm there are 7 days in which you can cancel. After those 7 days we delete your business's data from our live service automatically. We delete it from our encrypted backups within a further 28 days.
What stays behind: anonymised billing records (amounts and dates only) kept for accounting; error reports and server logs until they expire on their normal schedule; and copies held by our email, SMS and voice providers until they delete them under their own rules.
If you messaged a business that uses SalesBuddy
A business that uses SalesBuddy answers its customers on WhatsApp with the help of an AI assistant. The business decides why your messages are used and is responsible for them. SalesBuddy handles them for the business. This applies in the same way to Messenger and Instagram once a business connects them.
To have your messages and details deleted:
- Ask the business directly. A business can delete one customer's data from its dashboard at any time; that removes the conversation messages in SalesBuddy and the AI's memory of the conversation, and removes your name, phone number and address from the orders it keeps for its books. The WhatsApp connection software keeps its own copy of the message record, which the business cannot remove from the dashboard: we remove it when you email us.
- Or email [email protected] with: the name of the business, the WhatsApp number you used, and what you would like deleted. So that we can check the request is from you, we may ask you to send a message from that number or to give other proof.
We acknowledge your email within 3 working days. We then pass the request to the business and delete your messages (including the WhatsApp connection's copy), the AI's memory of the conversation, and your name and phone number from its records within 30 days. If the business no longer exists or does not act, we do it ourselves. Orders the business must keep for its books stay, with your name, phone number and address removed. Encrypted backups age out within 28 days. We confirm in writing when it is done.
